This policy explains how GrowthIQ collects, uses and protects personal information in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). It applies to visitors to this website and to users of the GrowthIQ portal.
Who we are
GrowthIQ operates as a Growth Firm company, integrated by Maru Online. For the purposes of POPIA, Growth Firm is the responsible party for information collected through this site and portal. Maru Online acts as an operator, processing information on Growth Firm's behalf under agreement.
What we collect
Through the "Request a demo" and contact forms: your name, company, role, email address, phone number and any message you provide.
Through the GrowthIQ portal (for corporate clients and their ESD beneficiaries): account details, company registration information, ESD programme records, task and document status, and an audit log of programme activity. Portal data is currently seed/demonstration data only during the platform's build phase — see the note below.
Why we collect it
To respond to demo requests and enquiries, to operate the GrowthIQ portal for corporate clients and their beneficiaries, to maintain the audit trail required for B-BBEE ESD compliance and verification, and to improve the website and platform.
How long we keep it
Contact form submissions are kept only as long as needed to respond to your enquiry and for a reasonable follow-up period. Portal and programme records are kept for as long as required by the applicable B-BBEE verification cycle and any statutory retention requirement, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request access to it, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to object to how it's processed, subject to any legal or contractual requirement that overrides that request. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, and disclosure, including access controls and encryption in transit. No system is completely secure, and we continually review our safeguards as the platform develops.
